Launch of the WI Clinical Trials Report

Sponsored by

A new study highlighting Wisconsin’s extensive work in Clinical Trials will be released on Wednesday, June 13th at Bioforward’s monthly breakfast meeting.  This study will cover clinical trials data throughout the state including work being conducted at Universities and by private industry.   Kristin Martinez, Clinical Research Center Administrator, Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation will also announce the formation of a new organization, the Clinical Trials Education Network of Wisconsin (CTEN-WI), which formed to help promote and educate the general public, policy makers and the media about the many benefits of clinical trials being done throughout the state.

Clinical research plays an important role in the drug discovery process providing patients with access to new medicines while supporting the local economies where research is conducted.  Bryan Renk, Executive Director of Bioforward and Jeff Trewhitt of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) will highlight the impact of clinical research on patients and Wisconsin’s economy.
