The ability to connect locally with leaders in the biohealth industry to share best practices, innovations and recruit highly technical individuals for our organization.
What are the key areas of or achievements by your organization that are impacting the state of Wisconsin and the overall biohealth industry?
Sterling supports the pharmaceutical industry – from small start-ups to global conglomerates – by providing expertise in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing. Sterling employs over 200 highly skilled and trained employees in a wide variety of roles at our facility in Germantown, Wisconsin. Additionally, Sterling works closely with local academic institutions to provide funding and support for STEM programs.
What about the future of research, medical, technological innovation excites you the most?
New advances in targeted therapeutics that provide more effective treatment with fewer adverse effects, thus extending and improving the quality of life.

Wisconsin is known for hardworking, honest, and progressive individuals. Wisconsin has an abundance of highly skilled workers, low cost of living, and a reputation as a great place to raise a family.
What would you recommend about or say to others about Wisconsin’s biohealth industry and research institutions?
Wisconsin has world-class academic institutions and research hospitals, is ideally situated in the center of the U.S. (easy access to both coasts), and has a growing ecosystem of private organizations focused on biohealth.
What is one thing others may not know about your organization?
Although the specifics are confidential, it may surprise Wisconsinites to know that the active ingredient in lifesaving medicines that they, friends or family members may have taken is made right here in Wisconsin. From groundbreaking new clinical therapies to blockbuster commercial drugs, Sterling employees in Wisconsin play a large role in ensuring that affordable, safe and effective medicines are available to those who need them most.
