About your organization (200 words or less): Alliant Energy Corporation (NYSE: LNT), headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, provides regulated electric and natural gas service to about 950,000 electric and 410,000 natural gas customers in Iowa and Wisconsin. Alliant Energy’s mission is to deliver energy solutions and exceptional service customers and communities count on – safely, efficiently and responsibly. Interstate Power and Light Company and Wisconsin Power and Light Company are Alliant Energy’s two public utility subsidiaries.

What do you find valuable about being a member of BioForward Wisconsin? We value the ability to network with talented individuals dedicated to making the world a better place. Bio-health and life science industry professionals are working on some of the most interesting and important scientific projects. The innovations and technology this industry advances will cure diseases, extend life expectancy and help humanity live a better, more productive and enjoyable existence. It’s inspiring.

What are the key areas of or achievements by your organization that are impacting the state of Wisconsin and the overall biohealth industry? Alliant Energy provides the reliable and affordable energy required to operate equipment, test medical treatments and innovate. Our commitment to renewable energy and sustainability helps reduce any negative impact the development of new technologies and treatments may have on our environment.

What about the future of research, medical, technological innovation excites you the most? We’re excited by what the future holds in terms of cures and treatments for the diseases and illnesses that impact so many of us, and humanity as a whole. The brilliant minds coming out of University of Wisconsin-Madison and the bio-health environment in Wisconsin ensure a bright future.
