BioForward, the collective voice of Wisconsin’s robust and comprehensive biohealth cluster, is pleased to announce the winners of its 2022 and 2023 Community Service Awards. The awards recognize and showcase the hard work and efforts of Wisconsin’s biohealth industry organizations and employees who actively work to make their communities better.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, BioForward had not presented the 2022 award recipients, which were announced along with the 2023 award winners at BioForward’s recently held Annual Member Meeting. The winners are:
2022 Community Service Award Winners
- Company award winner, Findorff, has supported SSM Health at Home’s Meals on Wheels program for 17 years. Over 50 Findorff employees volunteer roughly 100 hours annually for the organization.
- Individual award winner Judy Hall from SHINE Technologies has dedicated 15-30 hours a week to VetsRoll since 2012. VetsRoll takes veterans on an all-inclusive, 4-day trip to military memorials throughout the country.
2023 Community Service Award Winners
- Company award winner “Promega in Action” enables Promega employees to use up to 40 hours of paid time to volunteer for a charity or organization of their choice. More than 150 employees have engaged with 75 organizations around the world totaling more than 3,000 volunteer service hours combined.
- Individual award winners Samantha and Tom Foti from Aldevron co-found Milotso, a 501©(3) non-profit organization, providing a bridge for student-athletes to make a difference in the lives of children and teens offering mentorship, life skills training, mental and physical health education.
“We’re proud to honor BioForward members for their community service efforts, not just in their own communities, but across the state and beyond,” said BioForward CEO Lisa Johnson. “The biohealth industry changes lives through innovations in science, technology and healthcare, but the added energies these individuals personally put into helping others is remarkable.”
BioForward is a Madison-based organization serving as the collective voice of Wisconsin’s biohealth industry representing more than 220 member organizations throughout the state.
