In recognition of these remarkable efforts, BioForward, the collective voice of Wisconsin’s biohealth cluster, proudly presents the 2022 and 2023 Community Service Awards winners. These awards honor the exceptional programs initiated by member companies and shine a spotlight on individuals who go above and beyond to assist those in need.

2022 Community Service Award Winners:

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 award recipients were announced alongside the 2023 winners at the April BioForward Annual Member Meeting. Let’s take a moment to acknowledge their outstanding contributions.

Company Award Winner- Findorff

Findorff, a renowned company, has been supporting SSM Health at Home’s Meals on Wheels program for an impressive 17 years. Over 50 Findorff employees dedicate approximately 100 hours of their time annually to this initiative. Their commitment ensures that residents throughout Dane County receive nutritious mid-day meals from Monday to Friday.

Individual Award Winner- Judy Hall from SHINE Technologies

Judy Hall, an exceptional individual from SHINE Technologies, has been a dedicated volunteer for VetsRoll since 2012. With an unwavering commitment, Judy contributes 15-30 hours weekly to this organization. VetsRoll takes veterans on an all-inclusive, 4-day trip to military memorials across the country, providing them with an experience of remembrance and appreciation.

2023 Community Service Award Winners:

Now, let’s turn our attention to the remarkable accomplishments of the 2023 award recipients. Their initiatives exemplify the spirit of community service and inspire others to make a difference.

Company Award Winner- Promega

The deserving winner of the 2023 Company Award is “Promega in Action.” Promega, a leading biohealth industry organization, allows its employees to utilize up to 40 hours of paid time to volunteer for a charity or organization of their choice. Over 150 Promega employees have enthusiastically engaged with 75 organizations worldwide, accumulating over 3,000 volunteer service hours. Through this program, Promega demonstrates its commitment to making a positive impact beyond the realm of science and technology.

Individual Award Winners- Samantha and Tom Foti from Aldevron

Samantha and Tom Foti, exemplary individuals from Aldevron, have co-founded Milotso, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Milotso’s mission is to empower student-athletes to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and teens by providing mentorship, life skills training, and education on mental and physical health. Samantha and Tom’s dedication and vision have created a platform that fosters positive change and inspires young athletes to become leaders in their communities.
