This spirit of celebrating Wisconsin’s innovation and global impact was continued throughout the morning at the Wisconsin Medical Imaging Forum. The Wisconsin Medical Imaging Forum took place on May 11th, at the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, with over 100 attendees celebrating the strength of medical imaging research and industry in the state.
Lisa Johnson, CEO of BioForward, welcomed attendees with a call to changing the image of Wisconsin by promoting the exceptional biohealth research and industry that thrives in the state. “This is the transformation we need to put out there, that Wisconsin’s is high tech, and what we do is changing the world,” said Johnson.
As an example of showcasing Wisconsin’s strengths, Brad Schwartz, CEO of Morgridge Institute for Research, informed attendees on the ground-breaking research and fearless science Morgridge is cultivating in Wisconsin.
Morgridge’s culture inspires a sense of curiosity in their researchers and the community, promoting fundamental science that ultimately benefits society. This culture has aided in establishing industry and academic collaborations, innovative research findings, and spin out companies that continue to contribute to Wisconsin.
