Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion
BioForward is a leading advocate of and a collective voice for the importance of health and well-being of all individuals.
Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion in the WI biohealth industry
BioForward envisions a community of staff, partners, and organizations who are deeply committed to furthering equity and inclusion in every facet of our Biohealth innovation territory
As important as the physical health of individuals is the fervent need for social justice and equality of all people in our world today. Biohealth companies are at the forefront and have a keen understanding of the economic disparities, environmental challenges, nutritional discrepancies, and unbalanced healthcare options facing individuals today. Because we have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in these areas, it also must also be our responsibility – in our unique roles – to drive avenues in which to lessen the gaps that divide us.
In order to create just opportunities, we must continually assess how racism – cultural, institutional, and individual – persists in our city and within our organizations. We strive for a culture where people of every race, ethnicity, nationality, economic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, size, and ability are welcomed, empowered, and celebrated. By investing in an organizational culture that reflects the values and needs of our community, we will infuse diversity within our workforce and ensure those most affected have a voice in crafting our decisions. By sharing power among a diverse range of voices, we will inherently become a stronger, more impactful, and resilient community.
