Bio Highlights:  Jon Denissen, Ph.D., serves as Senior Vice President of PPD® Laboratories GMP and Bioanalytical labs.  He is responsible for the operational leadership, strategy, quality, and financial oversight of the GMP and Bioanalytical lab organizations consisting of more than 2500 employees located in Middleton, Wisconsin, Richmond, Virginia Athlone, Ireland.  PPD is a global contract research organization that provides comprehensive laboratory and clinical drug development services, working with healthcare companies to bring life-changing therapies to patients. 

Before joining PPD in 2015, Jon held several executive leadership positions at the global contract research organization Covance in Madison, Wisconsin.  He began his scientific career with Abbott Laboratories, holding positions of increasing responsibility in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics and contributing to several novel, marketed pharmaceuticals.

Dr. Denissen earned a B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.  Jon has authored over 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications and holds multiple patents.
