BIO Highlights: Leslie is a classically trained Toxicologist with her PhD in Pharmacology/Toxicology from the University of Arizona and has been Board Certified since 2003. Over her 20+ year career in drug development, Leslie has lead all aspects of nonclinical development required to support progression into clinical trials and regulatory approval. Leslie began her career at Eli Lily in cardiovascular research before moving to Alcon Laboratories where she applied her general toxicology skills to program development while acquiring expertise’s in medical device, ocular, otic and nasal drug development. Alcon was acquired by Novartis during Leslie’s tenure and her role then expanded to become the pharmaceutical Toxicology liaison between the two organizations. Her most recent role was that the US lead Drug Development Consultant at Covance, where she supervised seven other PhD Toxicologists while also bringing her continuum of experience to the benefit of start-up companies seeking guidance in the planning and management of their nonclinical programs.
