Director of Manufacturing Technology


Mike has been with Molex for 28 years and is the Director of Manufacturing Technology for Phillips-Medisize (PMC), the medical division of Molex.  He leads a team of 80 mechanical / control engineers and mold/machine builders to globally source and internally develop mold and automation systems that manufacture and assemble medical and commercial products.

The Manufacturing Technology team optimizes product design, manufacturing processes, and molding and automation systems to maximize productivity of PMC and Molex plants.  Their team includes principal engineers and shared engineering resources (SER) that partner with the world’s best mold tool and automation machine vendors to apply the latest technologies to manufacture our customers’ products.  Their team also includes three groups to internally design and build mold and automation systems to give PMC customers a competitive advantage beyond what is available in the global market.

Mike has a strong background in automation concept development, machine design, CAD/PLM systems, SAP procurement, and database solutions for project management.

Prior experience includes design and project management at independent automation firms.  Mike is an engineering graduate of the University of Illinois.
