Jonathan Irwin

Jonathan Irwin is the President/Owner of BioPharm Laboratories LLC a leading manufacturer of thrombin products for diagnostic uses. Jonathan is also a co-founder of Agulos Biotech LLC.  At Agulos, Jonathan with his partners, Jerry Chesmore and Nathan Chesmore, developed an inexpensive growth media for optimal cell growth.  Agulos’ SimPL platelet lysate was developed as a less expensive alternative to fetal bovine serum and human platelet lysate with increased lot-to-lot consistency. In addition to SimPL Serum, Agulos has developed an inexpensive serum free media which has been optimized for several different cell lines.  A Wisconsin native, Jonathan received his Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University, a JD from University of the Pacific, an LL.M in taxation from the University of Washington, and an MBA from the University of Utah. Outside of work, Jonathan likes to ski in the mountains of Utah and is an avid fly fisherman.
