Julie Tetzlaff

Initially from Mukwonago, Wisconsin, Julie is a proud Wisconsin native. She is COO/co-owner/co-founder of Diverge Translational Science Laboratories, LLC, a company she co-founded with her husband, Michael Lawlor, MD, PhD, also a Wisconsin native. DivergeTSL specializes in the development and performance of tissue-based testing, focused on histopathology and protein expression, to improve the understanding and pace of treatment development for genetic diseases. Interestingly, their company ‘Diverged’ from an academic setting to an industry one with great success. Dr. Tetzlaff received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, PhD in Neuroscience from Loyola University-Chicago, and conducted her postdoctoral training at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard University.
