Ramlow Stein
Architecture and interiors supporting the needs of the users
Information & Resources
With a trace of pride and a measure of gratitude, our firm now takes the names of the sole owners, Scott Ramlow and Nat Stein. Our previous name, Uihlein/Wilson – Ramlow/Stein, recognized the seminal role played by the firm’s founder, David Uihlein, and his first partner, Del Wilson.
In 1985, after years of experience with two leading Milwaukee architects, David determined to practice architecture in a different way. He established the firm to provide more personal service to clients in the city and state. Others partners came to share David’s vision—Del Wilson, Scott Ramlow, and Nat Stein. Today, Scott and Nat carry forward David’s goals of servant leadership and design as a means to improve our communities with a new generation of architects and designers.
We are deliberately a mid-size firm in order to provide a wide range of architectural capabilities with a high level of service. A partner leads each project, and one team manages the project from beginning to end. We cultivate partnerships with clients and strive to be an extension of their businesses and enterprises.
The notion of relationship-building and being there for clients is central to Ramlow/Stein. We have developed long-lasting associations with varied clients doing truly transformational work. We build these relationships by collaborating to design extraordinary places that serve the combined needs of the users, the client, and the community.

Hooper Corporation
Mechanical contractor specializing
Information & Resources
Since 1913, Hooper has grown to become a well-respected electric power and mechanical contractor. With headquarters in Wisconsin and regional offices in Colorado, Florida, Ohio and Michigan, Hooper employs approximately 1,200 office staff and tradespeople supporting residential and commercial clients. Hooper’s areas of expertise include fabrication and installation of complex plumbing, process piping, fire protection and HVAC systems, and construction of substations and high-voltage transmission and distribution lines for utility partners. Hooper also deploys emergency storm response teams around the country to help restore power to communities ravaged by natural disasters.
Established in Madison, Wisconsin by Charles A. Hooper, the company’s early success came as a steamfitting company installing pipes to heat state government buildings and the nearby University of Wisconsin. By the 1950s, its electrical and mechanical divisions were firmly established. Numerous acquisitions in the 1960s and 1970s brought increasing versatility to Hooper and greater ability to serve the growing needs of utilities, the university, and private companies throughout Wisconsin and beyond. The addition of General Heating and Air Conditioning (GHAC) in 1994 boosted the company’s overall growth, adding residential customers to its client base.
At the start of the twenty-first century, Hooper continued to grow and prosper with new technologies and engineering expertise. It significantly increased its green energy initiatives with wind, solar, and geothermal. The company also expanded geographically with electric power operations in more than 26 states. Long-term relationships with partners such as Xcel Energy, Minnesota Power and Madison Gas & Electric continued and storm response to Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy and others elevated Hooper’s presence across the country.
Today, Hooper’s overall reach extends throughout the U.S. and Canada, yet most of its mechanical business remains locally focused near its founding city and headquarters. The company’s longstanding local relationships with general contractors and commitment to its customers have earned it wide-ranging projects over the decades –from residential and manufacturing to hospitals and high-tech, to work on marquee projects such as the Kohl Center, Overture Center, Fiserv Forum, and Epic.
In November 2021, GHAC joined Hooper Corporation under one roof on a brand new campus and as one unified brand: Hooper. Teams that previously worked in separate offices and various warehouses are now combined in the new office building and fabrication facility – all equipped with the right space and tools for a safer, brighter, more efficient and collaborative work environment. Hooper’s people and unique ownership structure are central to its continued legacy and growth. Since the beginning, it has remained a union business, employing the best and brightest of skilled tradespeople. As a privately owned company with no outside shareholders, Hooper takes pride in its growth and succession over multiple generations of hands-on professional owner-operators. The principles on which Hooper has built its business are as strong now as they were in 1913, and those same standards of honesty, hard work, and excellence continue to guide the company today and into the next century.

Sara Investment Real Estate
Real Estate Investment & Development Firm
Information & Resources
The mission of SARA is to provide value to our investors, tenants, employees, and stakeholders through the development and acquisition of quality commercial real estate investments with an uncompromising commitment to the highest standards of service and integrity.
SARA is based in Madison, Wisconsin, and rooted in our Midwest values employing a team of humble, intelligent, well-experienced real estate professionals who sincerely care about the outcomes we achieve for our investors and tenants alike. When Eric Schwartz founded SARA Investment Real Estate in 1997, he had a vision to build a client-focused company built on integrity, respect, and communication. Today, that vision has become a reality. Since its inception, SARA, named in honor of Eric’s wife, has successfully developed meaningful relationships with a diverse group of investors, and cultivated a portfolio of quality retail, office, industrial, and mixed-use investment properties throughout the Midwest. SARA remains committed to operating with the utmost integrity and is focused on building sustainable relationships with everyone we work with. Our dedicated team of employees is committed to managing each investment property with great care and is devoted to making smart financial decisions that will achieve positive investment returns, while always protecting the equity investment that has been entrusted to us. We work collaboratively on each one of our investment properties to ensure that Eric’s vision of a forward-thinking, client-centered business is upheld.
Our business is investment real estate. Our success is attributed to our ongoing focus on one-to-one relationships with investors, tenants, vendors, and business associates in which all profit, grow and succeed. Our talented team of employees has developed a skill for uncovering unique investment properties, identifying their potential, and implementing a strategy to realize a positive investment return. We develop an investment strategy for each property and then actively manage each asset and respond proactively to the ever-changing market environment. The SARA team is dedicated to finding innovative solutions in today’s complex real estate environment, placing high priority on creating an alliance between the brick-and-mortar, tenants, and operating partners.
Always mindful of the balance that must exist between investor and tenant, we make thoughtful financial decisions regarding the operations of each property, understanding how each decision not only impacts investor returns but, just as important, the potential impact on the tenant’s bottom line. A property occupied by financially strong tenants typically yields the best investment results. If our tenant’s businesses succeed, so do our investors.
Our commitment to innovation and maintaining a keen eye on current market trends keeps us at the forefront of the real estate market. Square foot by square foot, SARA will continue to create new opportunities for our investors, tenants, and operating partners.
