Join businesses, community leaders, and UW alumni and friends in letting elected officials know about the need for a new College of Engineering building and ask for their support to make it happen for Wisconsin.

The 2023-25 Wisconsin Biennial Budget Bill controls the spending for the State of Wisconsin for the next two fiscal years. This bill will cover all state expenditures from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024. As we plan for the budget deliberations in the Wisconsin Legislature, BioForward strongly supports the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Capital budget request for a new state-of-the-art College of Engineering building.

Every year, many more students apply to be engineering majors, and the College has the capacity to accept fewer than 20% of these students, the majority of whom are from Wisconsin. Through this project, BioForward member companies will benefit from a larger pool of top engineering graduates, with more than 70% staying and working in the Midwest to address their talent and workforce needs.

By supporting a new College of Engineering building, you’ll help build the state’s science, technology, and engineering workforce, keeping Wisconsin companies competitive.
