The Wisconsin biohealth industry culminated the year in style at BioForward’s End of Year Celebration on December 12th, held at the picturesque Edgewater Hotel. The SOLD OUT members-only event, dedicated to honoring the industry’s milestones and fostering connections, was a resounding success, enveloped in a festive ambiance that mirrored the holiday spirit.
As attendees arrived, the foyer buzzed with excitement as BioForward members greeted each other, snapped memorable photos in the festively adorned photo booth from Celebrations Entertainment, sponsored by Spherion Staffing and Recruiting, and engaged in lively conversations—a perfect preamble to an evening of celebration. Entering the main space at 6:00 PM, guests were greeted with tantalizing hors d’oeuvres and beverages, setting the tone for an evening of camaraderie and festivity.
The highlight of the evening was the toast at 6:15 PM, where BioForward CEO Lisa Johnson led attendees to raise their glasses in tribute to the industry’s exceptional achievements, specifically acknowledging the monumental Phase 1 designation of the Wisconsin Biohealth Tech Hub. This accomplishment stood as a testament to the dedication and innovation of the industry’s members.
Adding to the excitement, the games kicked off at 6:30 PM, offering attendees a chance to participate and win fantastic prizes generously provided by J&J Gifts, a local woman-owned business known for curating items from local artisans and vendors. The night reached its pinnacle at 7:45 PM with the drawing of game winners, sparking jubilation among those who were fortunate enough to claim their prizes.
The celebration wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the event sponsors. Vogel Bro. Building Co. and BakerTilly, in their addresses, highlighted the pivotal role of the biohealth industry in Wisconsin, emphasizing its significance and impact.
Entertainment throughout the evening was nothing short of spectacular. The casino-style games, courtesy of It’s Your Party and sponsored by CAI, kept guests engaged and enthralled. The Caribbean Eclipse Steel Drum Band infused the air with tropical tunes, offering a refreshing twist to beloved holiday melodies, momentarily transporting everyone to warmer climes.
Moreover, the charming Edgewater Hotel, bedecked in holiday finery, served as an ideal backdrop for networking and spreading cheer. The signature cocktail of the night, the Happy Hot Chocolate, crafted with local Death’s Door Wondermint Schnapps and hot cocoa, perfectly complemented the festive atmosphere.
As the night drew to a close, guests departed with Wisconsin Biohealth Tech Hub winter hats, sponsored by Gilson, a tangible reminder of a memorable evening celebrating achievements, fostering connections, and looking ahead to a promising future for the biohealth industry in Wisconsin.
